Ignite Your Goals!


What's your spark?

I hope you are all moving towards your goals. Kinda of like building a fire! It reminds of an analogy I use for reaching goals or accomplishing a task/project.  I have built many a fire in my house growing up in the winter and when you build a fire, you need a big log or two to warm up the house, right?  Well, getting the big log on fire (heat) is your goal/project!  Trying to light that big log or two rarely if ever worked.  So what do you do?  You add kindling, right? Be it newspaper, twigs, etc. (smaller items) that you would use to get the big log to light and generate heat! Its the same thing with reaching your health and fitness goals!

So here is one of my goals for 2011:  To be a healthy, vibrant and strong person everyday! Now this just doesn’t happen!  You normally just don’t appear this way, you have to practice this in order to be healthy, strong and vibrant!  So this is akin to the big log. So what is my kindling to reach my goals?

Here is my Kindling for my Goal of Being Healthy, Strong and Vibrant:

1. Attitude - How I think…Believe I am Healthy, Vibrant and Strong!

2. Nurture - I feed my body nutrient dense foods daily

3. Exercise - Move my body (Strength Train, Stretch, Rebound, Run) on a daily basis or at minimum 4-5x/week!

4. Stress Management - Smile through everything, good or bad (not always successful, but working on it:), 10 Deep breaths a day,     Meditation or Prayer, Tapping Solution (http://www.thetappingsolution.com/cmd.php?Clk=4118580), Music that makes me feel good, Massage, Dancing with myself (Billy Idol would be proud), Take a Bath and some down time! etc.

5. Mental Training - Read 1 page or more of Mind and Body enhancing material when I wake up and go to bed.  Listen to powerful self- improvement audio cd’s in the car or at home.

6. Be Thankful - I am practicing what I am more thankful for when I go to bed, than what I don’t have.

7. Good Vibrations - Sending out and thinking good progressive and nurturing thoughts consistently brings the same back to me!

Kind of like a a radio station sends out a signal for Rock & Roll or country!  If you want to listen to RnR, you must be on that channel!  Same thing with how you feel…Good signals (vibrations out), Good comes back!

8. Reduce EMF - Reduce electromagnetic fields – I use a blocker on my Cell Phone and wear one around my neck.  Between all of the computers, satellites, cell phones, HD tvs, etc, its important to protect my own vibrational patterns!

9. Love what I do and who I am - I embrace the fact that I can make a difference in your life and others and that means a ton to me and I am grateful for that opportunity!  For you, love being a mom, dad, husband, wife and/or a friend; it goes a long way!
